VIE books were published in two styles, 'Readers', with leather spine, and full-leather 'Deluxe'. Readers subscription were initially $1,250, later augmented to $1,500; Deluxe subscription was $3000. VIE books used Amiante, a custom font created specially for Vance's prose.
